This show is my story. At 22, I wandered into a metaphysical bookshop and within days, was working there. Like Michael, I was immediately deemed a “healer”, which I thought was ridiculous. Theater was my path! Little did I know, life had a detour for me.
The similarities continue from there, including the fractured family life rife with secrets, the disconnection from my ancestry, the Catholic upbringing, and my disbelief in anything spiritual. But gradually, my curiosity took hold and I discovered my own personal magic which truly helped me heal my relationship with my family and myself.
Now twenty years later, I am a writer and a film producer, but I’m also an astrologer and metaphysical teacher. I co-host a podcast on spirituality, have longtime astrology clients, and I’ve taught many courses in Tarot and astrology.
I won’t lie though. There have been plenty of times when I wondered, “Is all this spiritual business even real?”
And to be honest, I don’t know the answer.
But I would rather live in the question than presume I have all the answers.
WHY THIS SHOW?
THE NEW AGE is a show for anyone who’s ever felt oppressed or afraid to be unapologetically themselves. It is a love letter to those who are standing bravely in their authenticity and forging their own path toward personal growth. It’s an invitation for the curious and intrigued, who want to explore themselves and their lives with a greater sense of magic and wonder. And it’s an entertaining and thoughtful space for viewers to explore various forms of beliefs and religions, particularly the worlds of astrology, Tarot, and other alternative forms of healing, which continue to grow in mainstream popularity.
Most importantly, this show is a home for those who live a life of belief outside the norm, where they can feel less alone and enjoy a cathartic laugh or cry. Where they can feel that they belong.
Everyone deserves to have a place where they belong.
